SS20 - FW20/21 Women's Collection Design For AEO
Based on the target customer profile and the brand image of American Eagle Outfitters (AEO), I have designed the womenswear collection with a focus on cropped lengths and loose silhouettes. The goal is to create a youthful, vital aesthetic that aligns with AEO's brand identity.
In terms of design details, I have incorporated elements like lettuce-edge seaming, tie-ups, side-ties, and strappy backs. These details add visual interest and a sense of playfulness to the collection. Recognizing AEO's expertise in garment washing techniques, I have also incorporated fashionable 2020-2021 trends. Specifically, I have designed T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring vibrant tie-dye and distressed dye effects. These on-trend treatments provide a fresh, modern look that caters to the brand's young, energetic customer base.
Overall, the collection aims to capture the youthful vitality that is central to the AEO brand identity, blending relaxed silhouettes with dynamic design details and fashion-forward treatments.
